Inflatable Fender

The inflatable fender is a leading anti-collision device in marine application in the world today. It is made of synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheets, with compressed air inside to enable it to float on the sea. Pneumatic fenders serve as a critical protective intermediary against collisions in ship-to-ship (STS) transfer operations and ship-to-dock (STD) berthing/mooring operations. They can also be used for offshore platforms and installations. The fenders use compressed air to absorb the impact, generating very low reaction and pressure.

Patent Design

Huanghai inflatable fenders consist of four parts: the outer rubber layer, the synthetic-tyre-cord layers (cross weaved), the inner layer/tank and the metal flanges.The inner layer/tank is made separately and can be taken out for maintenance, repair, and/or replacement individually, which is not often found in the market. A flexible inner bag could help customer save cost.

1. Net type: with chain, tires and flanges

2. Sling tye:

Flat sling or hook type fenders are effectively a type fender without chain and tire net and the ring shackles. A lifting eye is fitted to each end and the fender is slung by chain or wire rope. This type of fenders usually is mounted on small size ship or yacht.
